Hello Calz1337,

We support multiple connection methods using:
* Websockets
* Flash XMLSocket
* Borfsocket proxy
* Orbited (last resort, slowest of all but works almost always) [borfproxy]

each method is attempted (top to bottom) with a short time interval (up to 10 seconds) before an attempt is stopped and the next is tried.
The top 2 are the preferred connections as they yield the best/fastest results, but are vulnerable to firewalls, security software, webshields, etc.
In some cases we noticed that (with Avast Webshield for example) the connection attempt is blocked and the script is no longer able to test any other connection methods.

So check if you're running any security software that could be blocking it.
It should generally work Running on any modern browser.
for the best results I'd recommend either Chrome or Opera

Can you give us more information on what version of AVG you used, as well as your operating system and browser.
What did you do to "fix" the issue ? (please be specific)
AVG actually contacted us asking for the details so they can look into it ;)
