Login Impossible

Postby mr.makabar » Thu Aug 09, 2012 9:31 pm

It is impossible for me to log in atm. Hope its an update.

EDIT: It is Firefox, running under Ubuntu. It is not the newest version, thou I am unsure which one(but new enough for everything else!!!), Chromium does it perfectly fine.

I'm having the same issue. It says I've connected to the websocket but nothing happens.

Chrome and Opera I believe are the recommended browsers for Sagramore. I had a bit of a problem with Firefox as well, though im sure in due time it will be addressed.

I'm somewhat unsure of where firefox's policy stands on websockets.
We've had versions of firefox that worked out of the box, hard to say exactly where this goes wrong.

Quoted from metatamel.wordpress.com
As you might know, WebSocket Draft-76 version is disabled in Firefox 4 and 5 due to security issues while it’s being supported in Chrome 12 and Safari 5. However, you can still enable WebSocket in Firefox 4 and 5 by opening about:config and setting the network.websocket.enabled and network.websocket.override-security-block preferences to true. Here’s more information and description on this: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/WebSockets

Although this issue is for very old versions of firefox, I believe it still applies to the later versions to some extent.

I'll list it in our bugtracker to investigate this further.

for now I can recommend using Chrome / Chromium.
With the sky as our limit we don't stay inside.
