Today , as most of you know, is a day on which a lot of websites have been protesting the US SOPA/PIPA bills.
These bills seem to open the way for corporate internet censorship, which is something I feel doesn't belong on the open nature of the internet which we have created within our walls of western civilization.
So I would have had Sagramore join the blackout operation but I feel wikipedia and google can send a way broader message then we could ever accomplish in our current stage of development, so I'll leave the protesting to them!
I would like to quote Jimmy Wales as it expresses my view on the matter as well:
"Proponents of Sopa have characterised the opposition as being people who want to enable piracy or defend piracy".
''These bills are very badly written''
"But that's not really the point. The point is the bill is so over broad and so badly written that it's going to impact all kinds of things that, you know, don't have anything to do with stopping piracy."
